(Note: You will need silicone-lined micro beads, a hair hook/loop tool, and extension pliers).
One of the biggest advantages of Coovip Hair’s Butterfly Wefts is the hassle-free, zero-damage removal process. Because there is no glue, tape, or sewing involved, removing them is incredibly quick and easy.
Tools You Will Need:
Step-by-Step Removal Guide:
Step 1: Section Your Hair
Use your hair clips to pin up the top layers of your natural hair, completely exposing the row of the Butterfly Weft you want to remove.
Step 2: Expose the Micro-Beads
Gently lift the top "invisible" flap of the Butterfly Weft. This will reveal the row of flattened silicone-lined micro-beads that are securing the weft to your natural hair.
Step 3: Unclamp the Beads
Take your hair extension pliers and gently squeeze the sides (the narrow edges) of the flattened micro-bead. Applying pressure to the edges will cause the bead to pop open and return to its original round "O" shape. Note: Do not squeeze too hard to avoid damaging the bead or your natural hair.
Step 4: Slide the Beads Off
Once the bead is open and loose, simply slide it down and completely off your natural hair. Repeat this process for every bead along the entire weft.
Step 5: Remove the Weft
After all the beads have been removed, the Butterfly Weft will be completely loose. Gently slide the weft down, pulling your natural hair safely out of the pre-cut holes in the PU base.
Step 6: Comb and Detangle
Once the weft is removed, gently brush through your natural hair with a detangling brush or fine-tooth comb.
Pro Tip: It is completely normal to see a small amount of hair fall out during this step. This is just your natural daily shedding that was safely trapped inside the micro-beads while the extensions were installed.
Post-Removal Care:
Because our Butterfly Wefts are made of top-grade Raw and Virgin Remy human hair, you can reuse them multiple times! After removal, wash and condition the wefts, let them air dry, and store them safely until your next installation.
